A11yTokens
A11yTokens is a web app (with a lightweight CLI) that audits design tokens and component styles for accessibility issues before they ship. It ingests tokens from Figma exports, Style Dictionary, or a Git repo, then runs automated checks for color contrast (including states), typography sizing/line-height, focus indicators, and motion preferences. It generates a report that maps failures to specific tokens (e.g., brand/primary-600) and suggests safe alternatives within your palette constraints. The goal is to stop teams from discovering accessibility problems in QA or after release. This is a combination traditional + AI app: traditional rules catch the obvious, while AI helps propose token-level fixes that preserve brand intent and minimizes churn. It also creates a simple “accessibility budget” dashboard so design and engineering can track regressions over time.
