AccessGrid
AccessGrid is a web + mobile field app for cities and consultants to audit pedestrian accessibility and walkability at the block level. Crews or community volunteers capture standardized observations (missing curb ramps, broken sidewalks, crossing times, obstructions, lighting, slope) with photos, GPS, and quick ratings. The system converts findings into an actionable backlog: cost ranges, severity, ADA risk flags, and suggested project bundles that maximize impact per dollar. An AI layer helps classify issues from photos, deduplicate reports, and draft plain-language summaries for council memos and grant applications. The reality: many municipalities already have GIS and complaint systems, but they’re fragmented and not decision-ready. AccessGrid focuses on turning messy field notes into prioritized, defensible capital planning inputs without requiring a full enterprise asset-management rollout.
