AccessionKit

AccessionKit is a web app (with an optional desktop helper) for small-to-mid archives to intake new collections quickly and consistently. It guides staff through accession workflows, enforces required fields, and generates standardized accession records, box/folder lists, and donor restriction notes. It includes a lightweight “bulk ingest” flow for spreadsheets and drag-and-drop files, plus barcode/QR support for container tracking. A rules engine flags common problems (missing dates, inconsistent creator names, rights gaps) before records are published or exported. It’s not trying to replace your full collection management system; it sits in front of it, producing cleaner data and exports to ArchivesSpace, AtoM, and CSV/EAD templates. The realistic value is time saved and fewer downstream cleanups, especially for understaffed repositories with high backlog pressure.
