AccessOrbit
AccessOrbit is a web + desktop (Windows/macOS) app that helps space-habitat and spacecraft interior teams run accessibility checks early—before CAD is “locked.” It imports simplified geometry from common CAD exports (STEP/IFC proxies) and runs rule-based + AI-assisted evaluations for reach, clearance, transfer paths, restraint placement, and emergency egress under microgravity and partial gravity assumptions. The output is a traceable report: what fails, why it fails, and what design changes would fix it, with annotated snapshots and requirements mapping. Brutal truth: the market is small and procurement is slow, so the product must be priced like B2B engineering software and prove it reduces rework and safety risk. The MVP focuses on a narrow set of high-value checks (hatch/aisle clearances, reach envelopes, restraint spacing, and emergency translation paths) rather than trying to “solve accessibility” broadly.
