AccessPlay

AccessPlay is a mobile + web app that helps adaptive and Paralympic athletes confirm whether a sports facility is actually usable for their needs—before they waste time traveling. Users search venues (gyms, tracks, pools, fields) and see structured accessibility details: step-free routes, door widths, lift reliability, accessible parking distance, locker/shower setup, pool lift type, lighting/glare, sensory load, and surface/gradient notes. The core is verified, time-stamped reports from athletes, coaches, and facility staff, with photo evidence and a simple “confidence score.” Facilities can claim profiles to publish updates (e.g., elevator repaired) and respond to issues. The app also supports sport-specific filters (wheelchair basketball, para-swimming, blind soccer) and shares a clean checklist PDF for event organizers. This is not a feel-good directory; it’s a practical risk-reduction tool for training and competition planning.
