AdaptBrief

AdaptBrief is a web app (with optional mobile companion) that helps small-to-mid organizations produce practical, defensible climate adaptation plans without hiring expensive consultants. Users enter a location, asset type (office, warehouse, farm, school), and operational constraints. The app pulls credible hazard layers (heat, flood, wildfire smoke, drought) and generates a prioritized checklist: near-term fixes (e.g., HVAC filtration upgrades, backup power sizing, drainage maintenance) and longer-term investments (site hardening, relocation triggers). It also outputs a concise “board brief” PDF with assumptions, data sources, and a simple cost/impact matrix. This is a combination traditional + AI app: traditional for data ingestion, mapping, and templates; AI to draft tailored recommendations, summarize uncertainty, and translate technical risk into plain language. It’s realistic: it won’t predict disasters perfectly, but it will standardize decisions and documentation.
