AdBreakBuddy is a mobile + web companion for people who watch ad-supported streaming (FAST channels, free tiers, live TV apps). It listens for ad-break transitions (via optional microphone “audio fingerprinting” on-device) or uses a manual tap, then shows a clean, spoiler-safe recap of what you missed: last 30–90 seconds summary, character names mentioned, and any on-screen text (when available). It also offers “catch-up cards” after you pause or get interrupted, so you can re-enter a show without rewinding. This is an AI app combined with a traditional app: AI generates micro-recaps and highlights, while the core product is a simple, reliable second-screen experience. Realistically, accuracy will vary by show and audio conditions, so the MVP should focus on a small set of popular channels/shows and expand as confidence improves.
