AdProof

AdProof is a desktop browser extension (Chrome/Edge/Firefox) that focuses on transparency-first ad blocking. Instead of silently blocking lists, it shows a simple “who tried what” feed: which scripts attempted tracking, fingerprinting, or invasive redirects, and what was blocked. Users can switch between three modes—Clean (block common ads), Private (block trackers + fingerprinting), and Strict (breakage-prone but aggressive). The key is guided unbreaking: when a site fails, AdProof suggests the smallest exception needed (e.g., allow one CDN domain for checkout) and explains the trade-off. It also includes a one-click “Sponsor Safe” option that allows privacy-respecting ads on whitelisted publishers, so users can support sites without being followed. Monetization is a low-cost subscription for advanced analytics, multi-device settings sync, and curated publisher whitelists.
