AdvisorLitmus
AdvisorLitmus is a web + mobile app (traditional + AI) that helps individuals decide whether to stay DIY or hire an advisor for their specific situation. Users connect accounts (or enter holdings manually), answer a short questionnaire (tax bracket, complexity, time, confidence, behavioral tendencies), and the app runs a “value-of-advice” simulation: tax-loss harvesting potential, asset location impact, rebalancing discipline, withdrawal strategy risk, and common fee drag scenarios. It outputs a plain-English recommendation: stay DIY, use a one-time plan, or consider ongoing advice—plus a checklist of what to ask an advisor and what a fair fee looks like for their complexity. It does not sell leads to advisors (that would destroy trust). The goal is to prevent people from either overpaying for hand-holding or underestimating the cost of mistakes when life gets complicated.
