AfterEcho
AfterEcho is a mobile app (with an optional web dashboard) that helps people with trauma/PTSD practice evidence-informed skills in the exact moments symptoms spike—without pretending it replaces therapy. Users build a “stabilization plan” from short, guided modules (grounding, paced breathing, orienting, self-compassion, sleep wind-down, nightmare prep). The app detects patterns from quick check-ins and passive signals (optional: sleep and heart rate via Apple Health/Google Fit) and suggests a 60–180 second exercise, not a long session. A private “incident log” captures what happened, what helped, and what didn’t, so users can bring concrete data to therapy. Safety is handled with clear limits, crisis resources, and a one-tap shareable plan for trusted contacts. It’s an AI-assisted app, but AI is constrained to coaching-style suggestions and summaries, not diagnosis.
