AidLedger

AidLedger is a mobile + web app that helps communities verify and coordinate small-scale mutual aid without getting scammed. People can post specific needs (rent gap, groceries, medical copay) and supporters can pledge money or items, but payouts only happen after lightweight verification steps: identity checks, document uploads, and community vouching. A simple “proof of delivery” flow (receipt photo, pickup confirmation, or partner nonprofit confirmation) closes the loop. The app prioritizes privacy: requesters can hide full names publicly while still being verified behind the scenes. It also includes a transparent audit trail so donors see where funds went, and repeat scammers get blocked across the network. This is not a feel-good social feed; it’s a practical tool for getting help to the right person fast, with clear rules and accountability.
