AidRoster
AidRoster is a mobile + web app that helps people in vulnerable situations (migrants, low-income workers, survivors of abuse) find nearby, verified rights-support services: legal aid, shelters, medical clinics, worker centers, and emergency hotlines. The core problem is not “lack of information” but untrustworthy, outdated, and unsafe referrals. AidRoster focuses on verification: organizations must pass a lightweight vetting process, keep hours/services updated, and accept a code-based check-in system that confirms a person actually reached help (optional, privacy-first). Users can search by need, language, eligibility, and distance, with offline “safety cards” that store key numbers and steps when connectivity is poor. An AI layer helps translate, summarize eligibility requirements, and suggest the best next step, but never replaces professional advice. The app is realistic: it’s a directory + verification workflow, not a magic legal solution.
