AisleReserve

AisleReserve is a web + mobile app that creates a short-lived “inventory reservation layer” for omnichannel orders (BOPIS, ship-from-store, same-day delivery). Instead of trusting the POS/on-hand number, it forces a fast, guided confirmation workflow: when an online order hits a store, the app assigns a picker, requires a barcode scan (or photo fallback) to confirm the item exists, then locks that unit for a configurable time window. If the item can’t be found, it automatically triggers substitution rules, reroutes to the next-best store, or converts to ship-from-warehouse—before the customer gets a cancellation email. It integrates with common retail systems via API/flat-file and provides a simple dashboard showing “at-risk SKUs,” chronic shrink zones, and which stores consistently miss picks. This is not glamorous, but it directly targets the expensive failure point: phantom inventory causing lost sales and labor waste.
