AllergenAege

AllergenAege is a mobile + web app that helps people safely eat Mediterranean food when traveling or dining out. Users scan a menu (or take a photo of a dish description) and get a clear risk breakdown for common allergens (nuts, sesame, shellfish, dairy), dietary rules (gluten-free, vegan), and hidden ingredients typical in Mediterranean cuisines (tahini, pistachio, yogurt, anchovy, bulgur). It also generates a short, culturally appropriate “ask the staff” script in the local language, focused on the exact risk ingredients. The app saves personal profiles, supports multiple sensitivities, and keeps an offline phrasebook for spotty connectivity. This is not a recipe app; it’s a practical safety tool for real-world ordering. Monetization is subscription with a free tier that limits scans per month.
