AllerGuard

AllerGuard is a mobile + web app that helps fast-casual restaurants prevent allergy and dietary incidents without slowing the line. Diners create a simple allergy profile (e.g., peanuts, sesame, gluten, dairy) and generate a QR code. At the counter or kiosk, staff scan the code and the POS receives a clear, standardized “must-avoid” list plus required handling steps (change gloves, clean surface, use separate utensils). Restaurants maintain an ingredient and cross-contact matrix per menu item, updated in minutes, not months. The app prints a kitchen ticket with bold allergy flags and requires a quick “acknowledged” tap before the order can be fired. It also logs incidents and near-misses for internal training. This is not glamorous, but it targets a real operational risk: one mistake can mean hospitalization, lawsuits, and brand damage.
