AllergyProof

AllergyProof is a mobile + web app that reduces the risk of allergic reactions when ordering delivery or takeout. Users build an allergy profile (e.g., peanuts, sesame, dairy, gluten, shellfish) plus severity and cross-contact sensitivity. When they browse participating restaurants, the app shows a clear “safe/unsafe/ask” status per dish based on ingredients, prep notes, and kitchen cross-contact flags. Restaurants get a lightweight dashboard to maintain ingredient lists, supplier changes, and prep workflows, plus printable kitchen tickets that highlight the customer’s allergens in plain language. The app also provides a one-tap “confirm protocol” message thread so customers can ask targeted questions without long back-and-forth. It’s not a marketplace or a delivery service; it’s a safety layer that plugs into existing ordering links and POS exports. Realistically, adoption will be slower than consumer apps, but the value is high for a niche that spends heavily and churns fast when trust breaks.
