AllerLunch

AllerLunch is a mobile app (with a lightweight web portal for schools) that helps families pack lunches that comply with classroom and school allergy rules—without endless emails, guesswork, or accidental exposures. Parents create profiles for each child, then select their school/class and see a clear “allowed / avoid / caution” list (nuts, sesame, egg, etc.) plus brand-specific safe swaps. A barcode scanner flags risky ingredients and cross-contamination statements (“may contain”). The app generates a weekly lunch plan and a shopping list based on what’s permitted, your budget, and what you already have. For schools, the web portal lets staff publish and update allergy policies and optionally share anonymized alerts (e.g., new allergy in class) without exposing student identities. It’s not a miracle—labels change and mistakes happen—but it reduces preventable errors dramatically.
