AllerPlate
AllerPlate is a mobile + web recipe app that generates and filters recipes by medically-relevant constraints (allergens, intolerances, low-FODMAP, celiac-safe) while still staying practical: cost per serving, cook time, and ingredient availability. Users set a household profile (e.g., peanut allergy, lactose intolerance, picky kid, 30-minute dinners, $4/serving cap). The app then proposes a weekly plan with substitutions that actually work (not “swap milk for milk alternative” when the recipe depends on dairy chemistry). It also creates a consolidated shopping list mapped to common grocery categories and lets users mark “already have” pantry staples. It’s not trying to be another Instagram recipe feed; it’s a constraint-solver for people who are tired of reading 40 blog paragraphs only to discover the recipe is unsafe or too expensive. Monetization: subscription for advanced profiles, saved plans, and verified-safe recipe packs.
