AllowanceCue

AllowanceCue is a mobile app (with optional web dashboard) that helps parents talk to kids about money using short, age-appropriate “conversation cards” triggered by real life moments: grocery shopping, birthday cash, online game purchases, chores, and peer pressure. Parents pick a child’s age and values (saving, generosity, spending limits), then the app suggests a 60-second script, a question to ask, and one tiny action (e.g., “split $10 into spend/save/give jars”). It includes a lightweight allowance tracker and “family rules” templates (what parents will pay for vs. what kids cover). This is not a full banking app; it’s a behavior and communication coach that reduces awkwardness and inconsistency. Optional AI mode rewrites scripts in the parent’s tone and the child’s personality, but the core content works without AI.
