AlloyTrace

AlloyTrace is a web + mobile app for small-to-mid metal shops to track material identity from receiving to shipment without a full-blown ERP. Users scan a QR code on each bundle/plate/bar and attach mill test reports (MTRs), heat numbers, grade, dimensions, and location. As material is cut, consumed, or remnant-shelved, the app maintains parent-child traceability and generates a clean “trace pack” for customers (PDF + share link). It also flags common compliance gaps: missing MTRs, mismatched heat numbers, expired certs, and jobs that require specific specs (ASTM/ASME) but have incomplete documentation. This is not glamorous software; it’s paperwork and risk reduction. The goal is fewer shipment delays, fewer chargebacks, and less time hunting for certs during audits or customer disputes.
