AmendCalc is a mobile + web app that turns a lab soil test into a clear, defensible amendment plan for gardens and small farms. Users upload a soil report (PDF/photo), pick crop(s), bed size, and preferred inputs (lime, gypsum, compost, organic blends). The app calculates target ranges (pH, Ca:Mg, base saturation, key macros/micros) and outputs exact application rates by area, plus a split schedule to reduce burn and runoff. It also flags common lab quirks (buffer pH, Mehlich vs Olsen) and warns when recommendations are unreliable. This is not a “scan soil with your camera” gimmick; it’s a practical calculator with transparent assumptions, citations, and a logbook to track what was applied and when. Optional AI helps parse messy lab PDFs and explain recommendations in plain language, but the math stays deterministic and auditable.
