AncestorPing

AncestorPing is a mobile + web app that helps families coordinate Confucian-leaning ancestral rites and remembrance practices without the chaos of group chats. It provides shared calendars for death anniversaries and seasonal observances, location-based cemetery/temple visit planning, and simple checklists for offerings and roles (who brings incense, fruit, paper, transport). The app supports multiple family branches, time zones, and culturally common lunar/solar date conversions, then sends reminders to the right people. It also stores a lightweight family tree and a private “memory card” per ancestor (photos, short notes, preferred foods), so younger relatives understand the ‘why’ and can participate. This is not a theology app; it’s practical coordination software for real households that want to keep traditions consistent with minimal friction.
