AnchorWatch is a mobile + web AI app that turns TV news into a searchable, accountable timeline. It ingests public broadcast clips and official show transcripts (where available), then extracts concrete claims, predictions, and “we’ll follow up” promises made by anchors and guests. Each claim becomes a card with the exact quote, source program, timestamp, and a suggested follow-up date. Users can subscribe to topics (elections, inflation, wars, health), specific shows, or personalities and get alerts when a claim is contradicted by later coverage, updated by new facts, or simply never revisited. The app also offers a “Coverage Gap” view showing major developments that a channel hasn’t addressed relative to peers. This is not a magical truth machine: it’s a structured tracker that helps viewers remember, compare, and demand follow-through without doom-scrolling hours of cable news.
