APRReality

APRReality is a mobile + web app that turns confusing credit offers into a plain-English “true cost” view. Users paste or forward a credit card/loan offer (or connect accounts) and the app calculates realistic payoff timelines, total interest, fees, and penalty scenarios based on common behaviors (late payment once, carrying a balance, promo APR expiring). It also flags dark patterns: deferred-interest traps, balance transfer fee math, and minimum-payment illusions. Instead of generic advice, it gives one or two concrete actions: the cheapest payoff strategy, whether to transfer, or whether to avoid the product entirely. It’s not a lender and doesn’t push affiliate-heavy recommendations by default; the product is a decision tool. Expect hard truths: many “0%” promos are expensive if you’re even slightly late or can’t pay on time, and the app will say so clearly.
