ArchiveTriage
ArchiveTriage is a web app (with optional mobile capture) that helps small-to-mid museums and archives decide what to digitize first—based on impact, risk, and effort. Staff and volunteers log a box, folder, or object with a few fields (type, condition, rights status, demand signals, uniqueness). The app then generates a ranked queue and a simple work plan: what to scan/photograph, what metadata to capture, and what to defer. It also flags “high-risk” items (fragile, degrading media, known-format obsolescence) and “high-value” items (frequently requested, exhibition candidates, community significance). This is not a full collections management system; it’s a lightweight decision layer that plugs into existing workflows and exports CSV/JSON. Realistically, institutions won’t rip out their current tools—so this focuses on the painful gap: prioritization and backlog reduction with minimal training.
