ArthouseMap

ArthouseMap is a mobile + web app that aggregates independent and arthouse film screenings from cinemas, microcinemas, museums, pop-up venues, and festivals into one clean, searchable calendar. Users can filter by city, date, filmmaker, country, runtime, language, accessibility, and “vibe” tags (slow cinema, experimental, queer cinema, etc.). The app focuses on what people actually struggle with: discovering where niche films are playing and buying tickets before they’re gone. Venues get a lightweight dashboard to post showtimes, ticket links, and last-minute changes, plus simple analytics on clicks and interest. This is not another review site or streaming catalog; it’s a practical discovery and attendance tool. Monetization is realistic: affiliate ticket links where possible, venue subscriptions for promoted listings, and optional memberships for power users who want alerts and curated drops.
