ArtSwapList

ArtSwapList is a mobile + web marketplace focused on local swapping and low-cost resale of wall art, frames, and decor—specifically the bulky stuff that’s annoying to ship. Users list items with size, condition, and style tags, then match with nearby people for swaps, partial swaps + cash, or pickup-only purchases. The app includes built-in safety features (verified profiles, in-app chat masking phone numbers, meetup location suggestions) and a “Wall Check” tool that helps buyers confirm size fit by overlaying a simple scale guide using their camera (not fancy AR—just practical). Monetization is realistic: small transaction fees on paid sales, optional promoted listings, and a $4.99/month “Power Seller” plan for frequent listers. The goal isn’t to beat Etsy; it’s to win the local, heavy-item niche where Facebook Marketplace is chaotic and untrustworthy.
