AssetTrace

AssetTrace is a mobile + web app for utilities and grid contractors to capture “as-built” evidence for poles, transformers, switches, vaults, and pad-mount gear in the field and reconcile it with the utility’s GIS/EAM records. Crews scan a QR/NFC tag (or create a temporary ID), take guided photos, record nameplate data, GPS, and condition notes, and submit a structured package that automatically flags mismatches (location drift, missing assets, duplicate IDs, wrong phase/voltage). The web console lets supervisors review, approve, and export clean updates to systems like Esri/Maximo/SAP via APIs or flat files. This is not glamorous: the value is reducing truck rolls, audit findings, and “unknown asset” risk by making field capture fast, consistent, and defensible. Expect slow sales cycles and heavy integration work, but strong retention once embedded.
