AstroTriage
AstroTriage is a mobile + web app that tells backyard astronomers what’s actually worth observing right now, based on their exact conditions and gear. You enter your location, telescope/binocular specs, light pollution level, and what you enjoy (planets, double stars, nebulae, galaxies). The app pulls live cloud cover, transparency/seeing proxies, moon phase/altitude, and object altitude windows to generate a short ranked list of targets with “why now” notes and realistic expectations (e.g., “visible but low contrast from Bortle 7”). It also includes quick star-hops and a one-page session plan you can save and reuse. This is not a planetarium clone; it’s a decision engine for limited observing time. Monetization is a low-cost subscription for advanced forecasting, gear profiles, and offline session packs.
