AsylumKit
AsylumKit is a mobile + web app that helps asylum seekers and their advocates assemble a coherent, well-documented case packet without pretending to replace a lawyer. It guides users through a structured timeline of events, generates a checklist of evidence by claim type, and securely stores documents, photos, and voice notes. An AI assistant can translate and summarize user materials, flag inconsistencies (dates, locations, names), and produce a draft personal declaration in plain language for review. The app also creates a shareable, permissioned link for a legal aid clinic to review materials before an intake call, reducing back-and-forth and missed details. It includes safety features like “panic wipe,” offline capture, and metadata stripping for sensitive photos. The goal is not magic outcomes—just fewer incomplete filings, fewer contradictions, and faster, higher-quality legal help.
