AuditTrail

AuditTrail is a web + mobile app that turns local and state politics into a searchable “receipt ledger.” It automatically ingests city council agendas, minutes, roll-call votes, budgets, and procurement records, then links them to elected officials and their public statements. Users can follow a district, set alerts for specific issues (housing, policing, taxes), and see simple timelines: what was promised, what was proposed, how they voted, and what actually got funded. The AI layer summarizes dense documents, extracts key entities (projects, vendors, amounts), and flags inconsistencies or sudden changes (e.g., last-minute amendments). The app is realistic because it focuses on publicly available data and a narrow, high-value output: accountability. Monetization is primarily B2B: local newsrooms, civic orgs, and advocacy groups pay for advanced monitoring, exports, and collaboration workspaces.
