AutoCaption QC
AutoCaption QC is a web app (with optional desktop uploader) that automatically audits subtitles/captions for streaming video releases. It ingests VTT/SRT and the associated video (or audio track), then runs alignment checks, readability scoring, profanity/brand-term consistency checks, and timing/overlap validation. It flags high-risk segments (e.g., mistranscriptions, missing speaker labels, captions exceeding CPS, long on-screen durations, or captions drifting out of sync) and generates a fix list for editors. The AI component focuses on speech-to-text comparison and semantic mismatch detection, but the product is grounded in deterministic QC rules so it’s not “AI vibes.” Export issues back into common workflows (CSV, JSON, or direct notes for subtitle editors). This is not a consumer app; it’s a practical tool for small studios, YouTubers at scale, and localization vendors who can’t afford enterprise QC suites.
