BackyardBingo is a mobile app that generates quick, screen-light scavenger hunts and mini-challenges for kids during playtime at parks, backyards, camps, or birthday parties. Parents or counselors pick the setting (park, neighborhood walk, playground), age range, group size, and time limit, and the app produces a printable or on-screen bingo card with tasks like “find something rough,” “do 10 jumping jacks,” or “spot a bird.” It includes an offline mode, simple team scoring, and a “no-phone” lock screen that only shows the next 3 tasks to reduce constant checking. It’s not magic: the fun depends on adults setting boundaries and kids being willing to play. But it reliably removes the hardest part—coming up with ideas on the spot—and keeps groups moving without expensive equipment.
