BailBrief
BailBrief is a web app (with a lightweight mobile companion) that helps public defenders and small criminal defense firms assemble bail and pretrial-release packets in minutes instead of hours. It guides users through jurisdiction-specific checklists (risk factors, community ties, treatment options, proposed conditions) and outputs a polished, court-ready PDF plus a one-page oral argument outline. It also tracks deadlines, required attachments, and local judge preferences captured by the team. An AI assist mode can summarize police reports, extract key facts, and draft a first-pass narrative, but the app forces attorney review and citations to uploaded sources to reduce hallucination risk. Realistically, this won’t “replace legal work”; it’s a workflow tool that reduces repetitive drafting and missed details—especially under high caseload pressure.
