BailCalcPro

BailCalcPro is a web app (tablet-friendly) that helps trial courts standardize and document pretrial release decisions. It guides clerks, pretrial services, and judges through a structured intake: charge severity, prior failures to appear, criminal history flags, local policy constraints, and available supervision options. The app outputs a transparent recommendation (release, conditions, or detention) with a plain-language rationale and a one-page PDF for the case file. It also tracks outcomes (FTA, new arrest, compliance) to audit whether local practices are drifting or producing disparate results. This is a combination traditional + AI app: traditional rules-based scoring for defensibility, with AI only used to summarize inputs into a clear narrative and to detect missing data or inconsistencies. It’s designed for courts that can’t afford a full enterprise case management overhaul but still need better consistency and documentation.
