BakeCost

BakeCost is a mobile + web app for home bakers and small bakeries that calculates real per-item profitability without spreadsheets. You enter ingredients once (with package size, price, and supplier), then build recipes by weight/volume and the app auto-computes cost per batch, per unit, and suggested price ranges based on target margin. It also tracks packaging, utilities estimate, labor time, and platform fees (farmers market, Instagram, delivery apps) so you stop underpricing. A lightweight inventory view warns when a planned bake will run short and generates a shopping list. It’s a traditional app with optional AI: snap a photo of a receipt or product label and it extracts item, size, and price to update your ingredient catalog. This is not a recipe discovery app; it’s a pricing and operations tool for selling baked goods.
