BalanceTrace
BalanceTrace is a mobile app that turns a phone into a simple proprioception and balance assessment tool. Users perform short, standardized tests (single-leg stance, eyes-closed stance, tandem walk, controlled reach) while the phone is strapped to the shin or waist. The app uses motion sensors to estimate sway, stability, and control, then generates a clear score and trendline over time. It also offers a small library of evidence-informed drills (ankle, knee, hip, and trunk control) with timers and progression rules based on performance. This is not a medical diagnosis tool; it’s a practical tracking and training companion for people rehabbing injuries or trying to reduce falls. Reports can be exported for a physical therapist or coach, making it easier to show adherence and objective change between sessions.
