BallotProof is a mobile + web app that gives voters a single place to request, track, and verify the status of their absentee/remote ballot across states and counties. It connects to official election portals where available, and where APIs don’t exist it uses guided “status check” flows, reminders, and secure storage of key dates, IDs, and confirmation numbers. The app flags common failure points (missing signature, late postmark, wrong envelope) and provides plain-language, jurisdiction-specific instructions to fix issues before deadlines. It also offers optional SMS/email nudges timed to each locality’s rules. This is a traditional app with light AI: AI is used to translate confusing election-office language into clear steps and to detect likely problems from user-entered status notes (not to predict outcomes or provide legal advice). Expect messy data coverage and uneven integrations—this product wins by being useful even when automation is limited.
