BarnReceipt is a mobile + web app that turns animal-welfare claims into auditable, purchase-level evidence. Consumers scan a product barcode (or upload an online receipt) and get a “confidence score” based on verifiable signals: certification validity, audit recency, farm/processor disclosure, transport/slaughter policy transparency, and documented noncompliance history. Brands can optionally connect to share audit documents and corrective-action reports; if they don’t, the app clearly labels the score as “low evidence.” The app avoids pretending it can see farm conditions from thin air: it grades the quality of proof, not the marketing. Over time, users can build a “welfare spend” dashboard and set filters (e.g., no cages/crates, minimum audit frequency). Revenue comes from a consumer subscription and a paid verification portal for brands that want to publish evidence and respond to disputes.
