BatchBeacon is a mobile + web app that forms short-lived “buying pods” for everyday items (detergent, diapers, pet food, coffee) so users can hit bulk price breaks without storing a warehouse at home. Users pick a product, quantity range, and delivery window; the app matches nearby buyers and routes the combined order to participating retailers or wholesalers. Payments are split automatically, and each person receives their portion via pickup at a local partner location (locker, corner store) or last-mile delivery. It’s realistic because it avoids the hardest part of group buying—trust and coordination—by enforcing prepaid commitments, clear deadlines, and standardized SKUs. The app makes money via a small service fee per order and retailer referral margins. This is a combination traditional + AI app (AI for matching, demand forecasting, and fraud/risk scoring).
