BatchBinder
BatchBinder is a mobile + web app for people who buy ingredients in bulk or decant into jars and then lose track of what’s what. Instead of generic “flour” entries, it tracks ingredients by batch: purchase date, supplier/store, lot (optional), best-by, storage method, and notes like “rancid smell after 3 months.” You add items via quick barcode scan for packaged goods, or a fast “jar label” flow for bulk items (printable QR labels). The app surfaces a simple dashboard: what to use soon, what’s likely stale (based on ingredient-specific shelf-life models), and what to restock. It also supports lightweight cost tracking (price per ounce) so you can see if bulk buys actually saved money. This is not a recipe app; it’s an ingredient integrity and freshness tracker for real kitchens.
