BatchBlend is a mobile + web app for smoothie/juice shops to standardize recipes and control food cost in real time. Staff build drinks from a locked recipe library with exact grams/ounces, step-by-step prep, and approved substitutions. The app ties each recipe to current ingredient costs and yields (e.g., “1 pineapple = 6 cups usable”), then shows true cost per cup, target margin, and recommended price. Daily prep planning converts forecasted sales into a prep list (cut fruit, juice batches, syrups) to reduce spoilage. Managers get variance alerts when actual usage doesn’t match expected (a common leak from over-portioning and inconsistent scoops). This is not a consumer recipe app; it’s an operations tool that’s realistic for small chains and single-location owners who can’t afford full restaurant ERPs.
