BatchGuard

BatchGuard is a mobile + web app (traditional app with light AI) that helps home brewers and small-scale distillers detect and prevent batch failures early. Users log a few daily signals (gravity, temperature, pH, aroma notes) and optionally connect a cheap Bluetooth thermometer/hydrometer. The app flags abnormal fermentation trajectories, likely causes (infection, stalled ferment, temperature swings), and gives step-by-step corrective actions with risk tradeoffs. It also includes a sanitation checklist, equipment maintenance reminders, and a “known-good” baseline library so users can compare today’s batch to their own past successes rather than generic charts. This is not a recipe community; it’s a quality-control companion designed to reduce wasted ingredients and time. The AI component is limited to anomaly detection and plain-language troubleshooting summaries, keeping it practical and defensible.
