BatchMatch

BatchMatch helps makeup buyers avoid stale, counterfeit, or reformulated products by verifying batch codes and seller consistency before they purchase. Users scan or type a batch/lot code from a product photo (or the box), and the app estimates manufacture date ranges, flags suspicious patterns (e.g., impossible dates, mismatched brand formats), and tracks which online sellers repeatedly ship old stock. It also lets users log purchases and get reminders for “best-by” windows for items like mascara and liquid products. The app is brutally practical: it won’t magically “prove authenticity,” but it can reduce risk by catching obvious red flags and building a community-driven reliability score for sellers. Monetization: freemium scans, plus a paid tier for bulk checks, seller watchlists, and exportable purchase logs for MUAs and small retailers.
