BatchScent is a mobile + web app that helps fragrance buyers avoid counterfeits, reformulations, and disappointing “new batches” by making batch-code intelligence practical. Users scan or type a batch code (or barcode), and the app returns an estimated production window, known formula-change periods, community-reported longevity/sillage shifts, and retailer reliability signals. It also lets users log their own bottles with purchase source, photos, and performance notes over time, creating a personal “how it wears” history. For shoppers, the app provides a pre-purchase checklist: what to ask sellers, what photos to request, and red flags for common counterfeit patterns by brand. This is not magic authentication—it's risk scoring and transparency. Monetization comes from a small subscription for advanced reports and a retailer verification badge program (only if you can enforce standards).
