Bathymetrix

Bathymetrix is a web + desktop GIS app that helps tidal and wave developers quickly assess seabed and nearshore constraints before they waste money on surveys or pick the wrong site. It pulls together public hydrographic charts, metocean layers, cable/pipeline corridors, protected areas, shipping lanes, and known UXO/obstruction datasets, then guides users through a structured “site fatal-flaw” workflow. The AI component summarizes constraints, flags missing data, and generates a defensible pre-survey memo for internal investment committees and regulators. It also estimates survey scope and cost bands based on water depth, seabed complexity, and data gaps. This is not a magic “best site finder”—it’s a realistic early-stage decision tool that reduces rework, accelerates screening, and standardizes how teams document why a site is viable or not. Exportable maps and reports make handoffs to consultants and survey vendors cleaner.
