BeamBudget is a mobile + web app (traditional + AI) that helps homeowners and small contractors plan interior lighting without expensive designers or endless store visits. Users enter room dimensions, ceiling height, existing switch locations, and a rough style preference. The app generates a realistic lighting layout (ambient/task/accent), recommends fixture types and lumen targets per zone, and flags common mistakes (too few cans, glare on TV, wrong color temperature, under-cabinet gaps). It also builds a shopping list with multiple price tiers and a “reuse what you have” mode to reduce waste. The honest part: it won’t perfectly predict how your space feels, and it can’t replace a pro for complex remodels. But it can prevent the most common, costly lighting regrets and make decisions faster with fewer returns.
