BeamFootprint

BeamFootprint is a web app (with a lightweight mobile companion) that helps teams quickly understand where a satellite can actually see, talk, and deliver service—right now and over the next hours/days. Users pick a satellite (TLE/ephemeris), select a payload mode (comms, EO imaging, AIS, GNSS-R, etc.), and define constraints like minimum elevation, link margin threshold, latency tolerance, and ground station availability. The app generates coverage maps, time windows, and “service probability” layers that combine orbit geometry with practical constraints (terrain masking, regulatory no-transmit zones, and ground network downtime). It exports schedules to CSV/API for operations tools. This is not a toy visualization; it’s a decision tool for planning tasking, comm passes, and customer SLAs. The MVP focuses on LEO constellations and ground-station networks, where planning mistakes are frequent and costly.
