BeatBoard

BeatBoard is a web + desktop app for scriptwriters who outline better than they draft. It turns a messy idea into a clean beat sheet and scene list using a lightweight “structure scoreboard” (setup/payoff coverage, character goal clarity, conflict level, and pacing). It’s not a full screenplay editor; it exports to Final Draft, Fountain, and PDF so writers can keep their existing drafting tool. The AI component is optional and constrained: it suggests missing beats, flags dangling setups, and proposes alternate scene orders, but it won’t rewrite your voice or generate full scripts by default. Collaboration is simple: share an outline, comment on beats, and lock decisions. The goal is to reduce the most common failure mode—starting pages too early with no spine—without pretending to replace real writing work.
