BeatLedger
BeatLedger is a web app (with optional desktop wrapper) for screenwriters who struggle to keep structure, revisions, and notes aligned across drafts. Instead of another script editor, it sits beside Final Draft/Celtx/WriterDuet and becomes the “source of truth” for beats, scenes, and character turns. You import a screenplay (FDX/PDF), it auto-detects scenes, then you tag each scene with purpose (setup/payoff, want/need, conflict level, turning point) and track whether each beat is present, missing, or redundant. A revision timeline shows what changed between drafts and which notes were addressed. It generates a one-page beat sheet and a producer-style coverage summary you can share with collaborators. This is an AI + traditional app: AI helps classify scenes and suggest missing beats, but the writer stays in control with explicit checklists and manual overrides.
